Yours in one command.

PODIE serves a shadcn-compatible source registry. The installer copies component source into your React project and installs its declared npm dependencies. You own the copy in your project.

1. Prepare a React project

This release is verified with React 19 and Tailwind CSS 4. Use an import alias such as @/*. Follow the official shadcn setup guide for your framework. Initialize once from your project directory:

npx shadcn@latest init

2. Choose a component

On the collection page, hover a card or focus its install controls. Choose npm, pnpm, yarn, or bun and copy the command. For example:

npx shadcn@latest add https://podie.dev/r/magicui--shimmer-button.json

The equivalent runners are pnpm dlx, yarn dlx (modern Yarn), and bunx. This is a source-code installation through the shadcn CLI, not a package named PODIE on npm.

3. Import the component

Open the component’s Usage tab for its exact import and a complete example. Installation paths are included in the registry. React and React DOM are project prerequisites; other declared packages are installed by the CLI.

4. Keep attribution

Each installation includes the upstream MIT license under licenses/pretty-or-die/. Preserve applicable copyright and license notices when redistributing the source.

Updates and troubleshooting

Installed source does not update automatically. Review differences before installing a newer copy or accepting an overwrite. Check that you run the command in the directory containing components.json, and inspect the CLI output for framework or dependency errors.
